This is my first pair of wireless earbuds, and I have to say to myself, “Why did I wait so long to get these?”
I say this to myself because I can’t believe how great this product is and how long I lived without this in my life. This made my life a whole lot easier. I did a lot of research before settling on this earbud, and I will share what a positive experience these are in my Jabra Elite Active 75T Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds Review post.
The Reason I Wanted Earbuds?
I wanted earbuds for my full-time job at a stainless steel factory, as sometimes I am doing work and can’t hear my radio enough even when it is full blast. I like to listen to quieter things like podcasts and old Coast 2 Coast Am Shows when Art Bell was still the host. Yes, I love listening to music but I get fatigued mentally sometimes with music and need moving intellectual thoughts to help me through my long 10-hour shifts at the ye ol’ factory. Plus when you’re in a high noise environment a lot of the details of the music are just faded out.
I was using corded earbuds, and the damn cords would always get wrapped around each other, driving me insane, untangling them. Plus, most corded earbuds would eventually wear out at the plug or just not be loud enough to hear. The damn cords would always catch on something too.
I would be stuck some days in the dreaded grinding booth (aka the attitude adjustment booth) for 10 hours; that is where you grind welds with a really loud grinder till the welds are flush with the material. Bosses would stick you in there as a form of punishment for having an attitude back in the day, and the name stuck.
It’s highly stimulating work, I know, but it is really loud in there.
How loud?
Loud enough to drown out most quality radios blasting out at their highest volume.
So, I realized if I was going to get some earbuds, I better do some research first and see if any earbuds were going to work for my loud situation
The Reason I Bought The Jabra Elite Active 75T
As I said above, I did my research and tried to stay within a budget of $200.00 and under for earbuds.
Waterproof & Durability
The first thing was the Jabra Active part which is waterproof, sweatproof, and workout-proof I was interested. You can dunk these in a glass of water, and they will be fine. We all had an old smartphone in the past that got wet and died on us back before they were kinda sweatproof. So, I tried to circumnavigate around this problem by finding an earbud that was waterproof, and the Jabra Elite Active 75T is waterproof. Since I would be actually working in these in a hot factory during humid summer days. People from the Midwest know what I am talking about here.
Sound Quality
Being a budding sound freak…yeah, this is uber important and a requirement. The audio has a warm and spacious feel, and the bass has, for me, just the right amount of kick. You do get some very decent depth and dimension in the mids and highs. The imagining allows you to hear different instruments in different perceived locations.
Long Battery Life
The battery life is amazing and I have zero complaints about it. It lasts through my 10-hour shifts at work by charging it on my two breaks. To be honest, I don’t ever worry about the battery life anymore. It is just there when I need it, as long as I remember to plug it in to charge the case every so often.
Rechargeable Case
The case makes it effortless to keep a charge on the earbuds; just plug it in every other day, and it will always have a charge for your earbuds.
Work Earbuds
I wanted earbuds that would get me away from cords and allow me a better way to listen to podcasts and talk radio programs. I read some reviews saying these would work for a noisy work environment, and these do not disappoint.
My Experience Likes & Dislikes
These have a real pleasure to own and use, both at home and at work. These have been reliable and trouble-free, and I am just smiling every time I put these in my ears. I usually just use these at work, but I also use them for walking my dog and doing work around the house, like mowing the grass.
Likes
- They fit great; they come with three different silicon EarGels for a perfect fit.
- A small design, I know I didn’t want Apple’s Airpod earbuds as they stick out of your ear away, and I would rather not draw attention to them.
- I can walk a far distance away from my phone, and these still work great.
- Longevity – I often wear these for my ten-hour shifts, only taking them off at break to recharge them. By doing this, they last the full ten-hour shift, as I have two breaks, a 15-minute and a 23-minute break. The Jabra has a quick charge feature, and this works well for me; I just pop them back into their case. No discomfort.
- I can wear these in the noisiest of environments, and I can clearly hear quiet podcasts and such.
- Not once have I had these pop out of my ears when working or at home. They stay put.
- Music pauses if you take out the earbud and resumes when you put it back in without touching any buttons.
- You can quickly disable or pause anything you listening to by pushing the right earbud button. Very handy!
- The app is great; you can customize your listening experience.
- There are magnets on in the case and earbuds, so when you get them close to one and the other, the earbuds go where they should easily with a little snap. Securely in place and no second-guessing if they are charging or not.
- The hear-through feature is convenient. I have it set on the left earbud button and hit it when I want to hear other co-workers talking to me.
- Great passive noise cancelation.
- Fast charging. Fifteen minutes of charging dead earbuds will give you 1 hour of charge.
DisLikes
- If you want to use just one earbud like I normally do when I am at work, you have to use the right earbud. You cannot use the left by itself, only the right side.
Loud Work Environment Approved
If you are looking for a great pair of earbuds that perform and sound amazing, I highly recommend these Jabra. Especially if you are like me and have a noisy work environment, these have been a pure pleasure to use. The Jabra Elite Active 75t earbuds give you additional peace of mind being they are a semi-waterproof ability.
